The Non-Sexist (Honest, Officer) But Quite Informative, Weather Girl Awards

We all know that the weather in this country isn’t great but at least we don’t have minging Weather Girls! So with this in mind, may I present – ‘The Non-Sexist (Honest, Officer) But Quite Informative, Weather Girl Awards’. Of course there is no outright winner, that’s up to you, pervert! So here we are with the cream of the current weather girls, if I’ve missed any out, please let me know!

Becky Mantin (ITV, various)

A well-travelled girl, she as worked for ITV, FIVE, and SKY. She’s also appeared on ‘This Morning’ as a roving reporter, but recently joined the ITV national weather team full time.

Jo Blythe (ITV)

We all know her as Granada’s pin-up girl, but she’s been cheating on us lads, she also does the weather for Yorkshire and The Borders, apart from nationally! She’s my personal favourite by the way! Was voted 4th in a 2006 poll of FHM readers, for the ‘sexiest weather girls’.

Lisa Burke (SKY)

Apparently this Sky News pin-up, turned down a chance to do a PhD, instead she started to work for Sky News. Good choice love! In 2001 she was apparently voted the ‘sexiest weather girl of all time’ by a poll ran by Powergen.

Chrissie Reidy (ITV)

Started her career on ‘The Big Breakfast’ when they held a comepetion to find ‘the next weather prestener’. Apparently some overated televison prestenter, in the mould of Tim Lovejoy, called Steve Jones (of ‘T4’ fame) was also in that competition. She reached the finals and a year later, in 2001, started on ITV. She can be seen in the London region now.

Lisa Gallagher (BBC)

She is apparently from Bolton, but the girl saw sense and moved out as soon as she could, before she grew that sixth digit on each hand. Unfortualey she didn’t come to the bright lights of WN5, instead she worked at Manchester airport – as an air hostess! She worked for BBC News 24 but now works for BBC Yorkshire.

Gemma Humphries (ITV)
Works for ITV in the Meridian region (south & south east). She was at the BBC, before joining ITV. She took the oppourtinty to take over as the main prestener on the Meridian programme in 2002. Personally, that’s not all she can take over!

Lara Lewington (FIVE, various)

If only I had the money of Bill Gates as well as my own dashing good looks, then Lara & Jo would be the top of my Christmas list. Apart from being a weather and news prestener on FIVE, she has appeared in many shows, such as ‘The Pepsi Chart’, the (briefly) revived ‘It’s A Knockout’ BBC Three’s ‘Liquid News’, ‘Big Brother’s Big Mouth’, Newsnight and ‘Win, Lose or Draw’. So there’s a good range of choices, lads!

Elizabeth Saary (BBC)

Hosts the national weather on the BBC Ten O’clock News. She apparently has a BC’s in Geography, well I’ve got a ASBO from Worsley Hall University, so I’m sure she’ll find time to pop down to the Jacuzzi, to chat about it, along with myself, Jo and Lara.

………………………….AND FINALLY

The Weather Girls (SHITE)

No weather girl poll would be complete, without an honourable mention of the old ‘Two Tons O’ Fun’. Famous for songs such as ‘Raining Men’ and ‘Can You Feel It’. These songs have inspired a generation to turn gay. So cheers girls, that leaves more women for sexist bastards like me!
