A Pint of Gutted Please...

Gutted. You can keep all your last minute Latics defeats, this was even worse.

Okay maybe not but as I attended the last night of Wigan’s beer festival, we were informed that they had ran out of beer! I wasn’t happy and I don’t understand why they couldn’t have ordered more after Friday night. Or why couldn’t they have saved some for the Saturday? They could have even cancelled the Saturday afternoon session. I just don’t understand how they haven’t got a plan B, just in case something like this happens. Because of this they have lost out on a lot of entrance money and hopefully they can get it right for next year.

Maybe I should have gone on the Friday but it was ‘hard to move’ as my mate said. With no report about the event from me, I will let my mate, Chris, explain the Friday night: “It was proper good, hard to move but I got pissed anyway”. Roger Cook must be shitting his pants at the quality of that report!

So instead we went into Wigan for a pub crawl and it was okay! I cheered myself up by getting a pint of Strawberry beer from the Anvil, a pub that has plenty of ties with the beer festival, as well as being the pick-up point for the bus to the festival! The rest of the night was spent trying to chat up my old school lab technician, in The Boulevard, who isn’t old before anyone starts!

I’ve decided I may go to May’s Stockport Beer and Cider Festival instead. It’ll probably be an afternoon affair but I don’t care! Stay tuned for the drunken report!
